Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Magnus Barfot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Westworth!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barfot takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Barfot moves out of range of the strikes.
Barfot fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Westworth has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Westworth moves out of range of the body kick from Barfot.
Barfot defending well as Westworth loads up on a big left hand.
Barfot staying out of range there.
Barfot feints and then cracks Westworth's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Westworth down.
Barfot has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Westworth throws a hook but Barfot blocks it.
Barfot blocks a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A chopping leg kick lands by Barfot.
Barfot throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barfot scores with a jab. Westworth acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Barfot punishes Westworth's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barfot staying out of range there.
Westworth looks to land a right hand but Barfot moved out of range.
Barfot uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Westworth.
Barfot misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Westworth on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barfot lands a big right hand that sends Westworth crashing to the mat! Barfot stays standing though and waves Westworth back to his feet!
Westworth is rocked!
A thudding body kick lands there by Barfot!
Westworth is still on wobbly legs! Can Barfot finish him?
Westworth looks winded!
Barfot scores with a jab to the body.
A head kick by Barfot - that's a beauty! Westworth is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Barfot can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
