Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Douglas Ratliff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Campbell ! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Chris Dean and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Campbell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ratliff is looking for a sweep. Campbell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ratliff struggling a bit here. Campbell lands a decent elbow from side control. Campbell trying to control the position but Ratliff is working away. Campbell tries to advance to mount but Ratliff denies him. Ratliff tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Campbell easily slips into full mount! Campbell working for a guillotine from mount but Ratliff is in no mood to give up. Campbell jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ratliff manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campbell tries for a kimura but Ratliff is defending well. Campbell is looking to take a break and control but Ratliff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ratliff really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ratliff struggling a bit here. Campbell fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Campbell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Campbell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ratliff wants to control but Campbell postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Campbell stands up and beckons Ratliff to his feet. Campbell falls off balance throwing a combination

Oh Ratliff is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chris Campbell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Campbell tries to bum rush Ratliff with a series of wild strikes but Ratliff uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Campbell lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Ratliff head around and knocks him out cold! Campbell hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
