The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Berry White hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Hatfield bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard.
White is looking to stand up but Hatfield isn't so interested in that idea.
Hatfield sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed White's guard.

Hatfield thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.

Hatfield is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and White defends it well.

Hatfield is looking to take a break and control but White is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Reginald Hatfield will probably get the nod.

Hatfield got a little sloppy there for a moment and White has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hatfield has managed to get both his arms back between White's legs - danger averted.
