Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reginald Hatfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Berry White! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hatfield controlling White's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White wants to control from the top but Hatfield keeps moving. Hatfield looking to control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Berry White hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. White wants to clinch up but Hatfield keeps it at a distance. Hatfield takes the fight into the clinch. White is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatfield looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. White is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hatfield gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hatfield has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by White after a bit of a struggle. Hatfield tries for a takedown but White manages to get underhooks.

Hatfield tries to break free but White pushes him back against the cage. White ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. White no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hatfield trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. White keeping moving, preventing Hatfield from controlling successfully. White looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hatfield slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hatfield frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hatfield sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! White bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hatfield trying to keep a closed guard but White is proving a slippery customer.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hatfield working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White looking to sit in guard and control but Hatfield gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. White has his foot on Hatfield's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hatfield works his way back into a safe position though. White keeping full guard, as Hatfield tries to pass. White preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hatfield trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. White working for a triangle but Hatfield defends it easily.
Hatfield wants to stand but White has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hatfield has passed into half guard!
White striking from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. White tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Hatfield thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. White looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Berry White will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
White scores with a takedown into Hatfield's guard. Hatfield is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.
White trying to control but Hatfield is working from the bottom. Hatfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. White looking to pass the guard. Hatfield preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hatfield will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. White in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. White slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Berry White has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hatfield bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in White's guard. White is looking to stand up but Hatfield isn't so interested in that idea. Hatfield sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed White's guard. Hatfield not doing much here.
Hatfield thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.
Hatfield is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and White defends it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hatfield is looking to take a break and control but White is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. White trying to control here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hatfield thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. White trying to control here.
White pushes Hatfield off looking to stand but Hatfield dives back in and keeps control.
Hatfield postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for White to stand up. Hatfield shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily. White moves into the clinch successfully.
Hatfield pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. White blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatfield lands a shoulder strike. White tries to pull guard but Hatfield holds him up against the cage and eventually White drops back down to his feet.
Hatfield has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. White keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hatfield's efforts to push away. White is trying to drag Hatfield to the mat but Hatfield just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hatfield misses with a knee to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. White tries a body shot but Hatfield blocks it.
Hatfield is looking to take this one to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Reginald Hatfield will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

White keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hatfield moves in looking to clinch but White pushes him off. White manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hatfield on his heels. He'll look to pass Hatfield's guard now, I'm sure. White stands and throws Hatfield's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hatfield tries to improve position but can't. White has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hatfield! White takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. White can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hatfield is looking to escape.

Hatfield is desperately trying to improve his position but White has a good base and remains in mount. Hatfield is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. White goes for an armbar but Hatfield turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hatfield. Hatfield stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hatfield got a little sloppy there for a moment and White has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hatfield has managed to get both his arms back between White's legs - danger averted. Hatfield wants to stand but White has a closed guard, so he can't escape. White throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hatfield uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. White wants to control but Hatfield postures up. White sneaks back into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Berry White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
