Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Woodward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergi Vodkf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell Woodward has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maxwell Woodward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sergi Vodkf!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodward moves out of range as Vodkf throws a body kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Woodward manages to break the clinch.

Vodkf feints and as Woodward raises his hands in defense, Vodkf changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Woodward is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Woodward is controlling Vodkf's posture.
Woodward looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Vodkf is fighting to break Woodward's control of his arms but Woodward is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Vodkf looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Vodkf prevents Woodward from improving his position.
Woodward is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vodkf is keen to just control but Woodward is a slippery customer.
Woodward is looking for a sweep. Vodkf is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Vodkf is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Woodward!

Vodkf with shots to the head and body - Woodward looks very uncomfortable down there.
Vodkf thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Woodward is looking to improve his position but Vodkf isn't that keen on the idea.
Vodkf has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Woodward's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Woodward is in all sorts of trouble here.
Vodkf is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Woodward is in real trouble.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Woodward wants to control his opponent's hands but Vodkf gets his hands free.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vodkf is hanging on to Woodward's back as he tries to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergi Vodkf dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Woodward gets caught napping as Vodkf dives in and scores a takedown. Woodward manages to retain guard.
Woodward is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Woodward could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Woodward wants to sweep here but Vodkf controlling him for the moment.
Woodward has Vodkf pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Maxwell Woodward wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Woodward shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vodkf napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sergi Vodkf has got the better of the ground game so far.

Woodward lands some shots froms side control.
Vodkf is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Vodkf is breathing heavily.
Woodward is staying tight to Vodkf's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Woodward swings around for an armbar but Vodkf sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Woodward's guard.
Woodward seems keen to control Vodkf's posture.

Vodkf trying to stand up but can't free himself from Woodward's guard.

Woodward wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Woodward wants to sweep here but Vodkf controlling him for the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Vodkf tries to sprawl but Woodward drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Woodward is nestled in close to Vodkf, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Woodward wants to stand up but Vodkf has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Sergi Vodkf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Woodward has closed the distance and engaged Vodkf in a clinch.
Woodward is trying to pull guard but Vodkf turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Woodward lands a hook to the side of the head.

Woodward gets control of Vodkf's arms and successfully pulls guard. Woodward will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Woodward pulls Vodkf in close to prevent any damage.
Woodward avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Woodward has Vodkf pulled in close to control his posture.
Woodward manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vodkf manages to get himself to full guard.
Woodward postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Vodkf shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Woodward manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Vodkf stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Woodward swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Woodward has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Vodkf has passed into side control.
Woodward is looking for a sweep.
Vodkf takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

What's Woodward going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
Woodward is looking to reverse the position.
Vodkf tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Woodward can't do much from the bottom here.
Woodward manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Woodward is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Woodward is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Vodkf wants to control but Woodward is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Woodward is working for a kimura but Vodkf is defending it quite comfortably.

Woodward is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vodkf sees it coming and defends easily.

Woodward is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Woodward working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Woodward connects with a nice short shot to Vodkf's temple.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Maxwell Woodward showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Woodward has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
