The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Big clinches up with Homes and pushes him back against the cage.
Homes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Big pulls his leg out and moves away.
Big moves in looking to clinch but Homes pushes him off.
Homes feints and as Big raises his hands in defense, Homes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Homes is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Homes won't allow Big to sweep him here.

Homes drops back looking for a leg! Big is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Big manages to kick Homes off! Homes jumps back into Big's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Homes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Big as he jumps to the side.
Big tries to close the distance and clinch up but Homes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
