Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sun Ra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Hong Kong Phooey!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ra throws a leg kick but Phooey moved away.
Ra moves out of range of the body kick.
Ra throws a sloppy head kick and Phooey moves out of range easily.
Ra misses with a wild body shot.

Phooey instigates a clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Phooey.
Phooey scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ra creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Phooey looking to throw knees to the head but Ra is blocking nicely.

Phooey breaks from the clinch.
Phooey wants to clinch up but Ra keeps it at a distance.
Ra will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Phooey looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Phooey feints a jab promting Ra to slip. Phooey then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ra slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Phooey leaves Ra with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Ra looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ra tries to pass to full mount but Phooey defends it.
