Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Long Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrison keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Harrison moves into the clinch successfully.
Harrison lands an elbow just above Silver 's eye.
Silver on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Harrison landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Harrison scores with a knee to the head.

Silver successfully pulls guard.

Harrison is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Silver is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Silver has escaped and now he's on top!

Silver looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Silver is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harrison sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Harrison counters with a thumping low kick.
William Harrison is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harrison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Harrison comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Harrison creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Silver's defenses.
Harrison lands an elbow that stopped Silver in his tracks for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

William Harrison dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Silver looks for a takedown but Harrison sprawls well.
Silver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harrison sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Silver somewhat.
Silver will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Silver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Silver or perhaps it was just good defense by Harrison which made him look bad.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Harrison closes the distance and clinches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A frustrated look appears on Silver's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Harrison comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Silver has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Harrison uses from the top position.
Silver seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Harrison drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silver dives on top into guard.

Silver is sitting in close to Harrison's body. Harrison has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Silver is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Silver is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Harrison.

After the fight, William Harrison was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
