Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azell Harshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harshaw has chosen Got Money as his entrance music. Azell Harshaw has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chad Black! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Azell Harshaw! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harshaw tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center. Black shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Black showed some decent athleticism there. Harshaw looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Black prevents Harshaw from improving his position. Black is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Black get's back to his feet. Harshaw doesn't succeed with the takedown and Black moves into the clinch. Harshaw gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Black.
Black is pressed up against the cage. Harshaw has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Black down to the mat. Black avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black throws a lazy right hand but Harshaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Chad Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harshaw misses with a takedown attempt and Black counters with a single leg into guard. Harshaw didn't expect that. Chad Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azell Harshaw. Harshaw can't keep his opponent in guard - Black advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Black is looking for a kimura but Harshaw is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Black to get the leverage. Black is working for a kimura but Harshaw is defending it quite comfortably.
Black content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Harshaw holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Black is keen to just control but Harshaw is a slippery customer. Harshaw won't allow Black to pass to mount. Harshaw is looking for a sweep. Black is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Harshaw looks gassed! Black is looking to pass Harshaw's guard but actually Harshaw recovers to full guard. Harshaw pulls Black in close to prevent any damage. Black postures up in Harshaw's guard and throws a big left but Harshaw blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harshaw seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Harshaw is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Harshaw looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Harshaw is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Black is controlling him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Black looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Harshaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Black looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Harshaw looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Harshaw persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing. Black closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Black lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black works a leg free and moves into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Black dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Black moves into range and clinches up with Harshaw. Harshaw looking to throw knees to the head but Black is blocking nicely.
Harshaw turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Black is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Black's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Black tries to buck Harshaw off but Harshaw is having none of it. Black wants to get back to his feet but Harshaw drags him back down. Black is trying to improve his position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black is looking to get back to his feet here but Harshaw is keeping cool and he's managed to take Black's back. You can see the frustration on Black's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Harshaw is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Black won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Harshaw off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Azell Harshaw!
