Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malcom Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Malcom Rodriguez has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Malcom Rodriguez seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rodriguez's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rodriguez looking for a sweep. Not yet Rodriguez, not yet.
Rodriguez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gordon is aware though and is defending well.
Gordon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gordon trying to control the position from guard on top but Rodriguez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gordon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gordon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rodriguez keeps working.
Gordon is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Rodriguez looks calm but he's in trouble here. Gordon gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Rodriguez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Gordon lets go of the hold and Rodriguez can pop his arm back in it's socket.
