Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Goran Mirche!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirche fails with the takedown

so Escobar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Escobar is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mirche is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

and Escobar counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mirche's guard now.

Mirche isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Escobar stacks Mirche on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Escobar!

Mirche wants to hold on but Escobar pushes him away.

Escobar has control of Mirche's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mirche regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Escobar will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Escobar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Ryan Escobar rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
