Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kennith Cannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Krzysztof Rysiecki! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rysiecki looking to score a takedown here. Cannon is defending well but Rysiecki drives through and ends up in Cannon's guard. Rysiecki has gone for a leg lock! Cannon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rysiecki's guard. Cannon trying to control but Rysiecki is working from the bottom. Cannon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cannon stands up from Rysiecki's guard - Cannon perhaps looking for a knockout. Rysiecki lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cannon's sensitive parts. Rysiecki throws a leg kick which misses Cannon's front leg but catches the back leg as Cannon tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rysiecki lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Cannon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rysiecki. That one must have hurt. Rysiecki tries to bum rush Cannon with a series of wild strikes but Cannon uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cannon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rysiecki counters with a solid body kick. Rysiecki throws the left hand but Cannon avoids the punch easily. Cannon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rysiecki. Cannon with a lazy takedown attempt and Rysiecki counters with a leg kick. Cannon is breathing heavily. Rysiecki throws a quick inside leg kick. Krzysztof Rysiecki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cannon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. No luck for Rysiecki with that takedown attempt. Rysiecki goes for a double leg but Cannon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cannon continues to drive forward. Cannon is trying to pull guard but Rysiecki has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kennith Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cannon tries to score a body lock takedown but Rysiecki shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rysiecki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Rysiecki lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. No luck for Rysiecki with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rysiecki misses with a body kick. Rysiecki scores with a leg kick.
Cannon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Rysiecki counter with a right hand. Rysiecki misses with a few strikes there.
Cannon tries to keep at a distance but Rysiecki has taken the fight into the clinch. Cannon tries for a takedown but Rysiecki manages to get underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cannon letting Rysiecki take a breather here. Cannon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Cannon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rysiecki walks away with a smile on his face. Cannon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That kick from Rysiecki tenderised Cannon's leg. Cannon is trying to keep his angry face on. Rysiecki throws a series of punches but Cannon avoids them all with ease. Cannon is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rysiecki clinches. Cannon misses with a punch on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Krzysztof Rysiecki dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rysiecki scores with a sloppy right hand. Cannon should have avoided that one. Rysiecki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cannon has a closed guard, preventing Rysiecki from standing up. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Cannon holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Kennith Cannon just wasn't active enough. Cannon shoots in but Rysiecki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cannon shoots in but no luck this time. Rysiecki misses with a body kick. Rysiecki throws a half hearted mid kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Rysiecki.
Cannon moves out of range of the body kick from Rysiecki.
Rysiecki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rysiecki scores with a one two! Cannon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Kennith Cannon has been cut.

Cannon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rysiecki to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kennith Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cannon jumps guard but Rysiecki stands there with Cannon around his waist. Cannon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cannon fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Cannon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rysiecki trying to control but Cannon is working from the bottom.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Krzysztof Rysiecki wasn't active enough on the ground. Rysiecki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cannon circles away quickly and effectively. Rysiecki misses with a head kick.
Rysiecki throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Cannon counters with a one-two to the body. A low kick from Rysiecki is predictable there and Cannon moves into the clinch. Rysiecki prevents a takedown attempt there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cannon tries to pull guard but Rysiecki forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Rysiecki dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Rysiecki jumps guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rysiecki looking for a sweep. Not yet Rysiecki, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cannon with a flurry of punches that miss. Rysiecki looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cannon throwing strikes but missing. Cannon is fighting to break Rysiecki's control of his arms but Rysiecki is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cannon landing with the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Krzysztof Rysiecki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kennith Cannon's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Cannon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rysiecki sprawls well. Rysiecki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cannon gets slowly back to his feet.

Rysiecki gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cannon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Rysiecki throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cannon blocks it with crossed arms. Cannon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Rysiecki avoids it. Cannon tries to pull guard but Rysiecki won't allow it.
Cannon has Rysiecki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rysiecki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kennith Cannon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cannon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Krzysztof Rysiecki hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A slapping leg kick lands for Rysiecki.
Rysiecki cracks the inside of Cannon's front leg. Rysiecki gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rysiecki works on Cannon's body with a couple of short punches. Cannon takes a knee right on the jaw!
Rysiecki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rysiecki throws a quick inside leg kick. Cannon gets tackled into the cage by Rysiecki. Rysiecki maintains the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rysiecki gets a trip takedown into half guard. Rysiecki tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cannon knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Krzysztof Rysiecki has got the better of the ground game so far. Rysiecki wants to control but Cannon is keeping him busy. Krzysztof Rysiecki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Rysiecki sitting and controlling from the half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Krzysztof Rysiecki. Cannon has his takedown stuffed and Rysiecki counters with a stiff right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Krzysztof Rysiecki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rysiecki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
