Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Sandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Adam Sandler has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Sandler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Stewart! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandler shoots in but no luck this time. Stewart looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sandler misses with a takedown attempt - Stewart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sandler on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sandler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stewart's waist but Stewart gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sandler off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Sandler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sandler shoots in for a takedown but Stewart shows good takedown defense. Stewart uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sandler looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Stewart misses with a series of wild punches.
Stewart's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Stewart duly obliges. Sandler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sandler not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandler works his foot free and advances to mount. Sandler wants to control the pace but Stewart is squirming around nicely. Sandler with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Sandler looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sandler sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sandler wants to control the pace but Stewart is squirming around nicely.
