Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Devin Houle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua has chosen Flo Rida- 54321 as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devin Houle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Rua! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Houle slips a jab and a cross from Rua.
Rua closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Houle quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rua tries to stand but his arm is trapped. We've been hearing good reports from Houle's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Houle is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rua pulls his head out easily. Houle wants to get back to full guard. Houle actively working from the bottom here. Rua really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rua wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Houle uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Houle is looking for a triangle but Rua pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rua with a flurry of punches that miss. Rua looking to pass the guard. Rua throws a strike but Houle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Houle pushing down on Rua's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Houle is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Houle moves into full mount! Rua won't be happy about that!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houle tries to control but Rua wriggling away. Rua's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Houle looking to control but Rua is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rua has left one of his arms exposed and Houle doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Rua screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
