Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Makahlen Gorbachoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Searlas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Searlas has chosen I'm Shipping up to Boston as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Steve Searlas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Makahlen Gorbachoff's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Makahlen Gorbachoff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Searlas! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorbachoff throws a low kick but Searlas moves out of range easily. Searlas digs a good body shot into Gorbachoff's ribs. A looping hook to the body misses from Gorbachoff. Searlas does a little dance to reset his feet. Searlas thows a body shot but no joy. Gorbachoff looks for the body kick but Searlas saw that one coming. Searlas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Searlas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A clash of legs there as Searlas blocks the low kick. Gorbachoff avoids the body shot from Searlas.
Jab from Gorbachoff. Searlas ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Searlas jabs at Gorbachoff's body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gorbachoff. Gorbachoff is breathing heavily. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Searlas is looking to reverse the position. Searlas manages to work his way to half guard, despite Gorbachoff's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Searlas tries to get to full guard but Gorbachoff has control of the leg. Well, if Gorbachoff is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Searlas blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gorbachoff. Gorbachoff keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Makahlen Gorbachoff just wasn't active enough. Searlas takes a swing at Gorbachoff's ribcage but misses. A slow jab from Searlas misses its intended target. Gorbachoff closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gorbachoff is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Gorbachoff lands a body punch in the clinch. Gorbachoff scores with an uppercut up the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gorbachoff working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Searlas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Gorbachoff goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gorbachoff creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Searlas tries a body shot but Gorbachoff blocks it.
Gorbachoff presses Searlas against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Gorbachoff scores with a hook to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gorbachoff leaning his opponent against the cage. Searlas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Searlas blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short uppercut from Gorbachoff. Still in the clinch, Gorbachoff scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Searlas prevents Gorbachoff from breaking the clinch. Gorbachoff scores with a shot to the side of Searlas's head. Searlas tries for a takedown but Gorbachoff manages to get underhooks.
Gorbachoff has a couple of punches blocked by Searlas.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Gorbachoff. Searlas blocks a body shot from Gorbachoff. Searlas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A cross from Gorbachoff lands. Gorbachoff staying out of range there. Searlas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Searlas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Searlas moves out of range of the strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Searlas moves forwards but Gorbachoff connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Searlas is rocked! Searlas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gorbachoff. Searlas is still on wobbly legs! Can Gorbachoff finish him? Gorbachoff cracks Searlas with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Searlas tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gorbachoff pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Searlas is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Makahlen Gorbachoff! During a confident post fight interview, Makahlen Gorbachoff thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
