Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Wolkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCormick has chosen Shipping up to Boston as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damian Wolkowski! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christopher McCormick! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCormick misses with a leg kick. Wolkowski throws a jab but it's blocked by McCormick. McCormick throws a head kick that misses. McCormick misses with a straight left. Wolkowski throws a shot from downtown. McCormick moves away and avoids it. McCormick fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wolkowski on the side of the head. Wolkowski misses with a jab, cross combination.
McCormick throws a wild body kick that Wolkowski sees coming a mile off. Damian Wolkowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wolkowski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McCormick. McCormick throws out a loose jab but Wolkowski uses good head movement to avoid it. McCormick slips a straight right by Wolkowski. Wolkowski takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. McCormick feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wolkowskis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! McCormick lands a nice shot to the body.
McCormick looks to throw the jab but Wolkowski is out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCormick connects with a solid leg kick. McCormick misses with an uppercut. Wolkowski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McCormick misses with a straight right. McCormick throws a lazy right hand but Wolkowski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from McCormick. No joy for Wolkowski on that attempt. McCormick leaves Wolkowski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wolkowski throws a right and a left that both miss. A swing and a miss from Wolkowski. McCormick misses with a low kick as Wolkowski jumps back. A jab from McCormick finds it's way through Wolkowski's defenses. Wolkowski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McCormick to the ground. Wolkowski is now in McCormick's guard. Wolkowski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wolkowski throwing strikes from guard but McCormick blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCormick pulls Wolkowski in close to prevent any damage. Wolkowski stopping the sweep attempt from McCormick. Wolkowski stands and throws McCormick's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The strikes coming from Wolkowski are missing the target in this wave of attacks. McCormick manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wolkowski's best efforts. Wolkowski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wolkowski is looking for a kimura here.
Wolkowski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McCormick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wolkowski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McCormick tries to roll over but Wolkowski keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolkowski wants to control but McCormick is keeping him busy. Wolkowski scoring with strikes to the body and head. Wolkowski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McCormick is just riding it out for now. Wolkowski eventually gives up the hold. Wolkowski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. McCormick is trying is best to control the position here. Wolkowski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McCormick is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Wolkowski missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wolkowski seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McCormick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. McCormick gets full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolkowski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McCormick's head. McCormick has his hands on Wolkowski's head, controlling the position. Wolkowski trying to control the position from guard on top but McCormick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wolkowski throwing strikes but missing. McCormick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wolkowski is one step ahead there. McCormick is still trying to improve position. Wolkowski wants to control from the top but McCormick keeps moving. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wolkowski is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McCormick is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Christopher McCormick will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wolkowski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCormick circles away quickly and effectively. Wolkowski shoots for a double leg takedown but McCormick sprawls well. He's pushed Wolkowski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wolkowski falls off balance throwing a combination
and McCormick counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Damian Wolkowski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McCormick misses with a kick to the body.
No luck for Wolkowski with that takedown attempt. Wolkowski ducks under a wild hook from McCormick. McCormick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wolkowski. Wolkowski has been working on his balance at MuscleWorks Amsterdam™ , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by McCormick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Wolkowski. That's going to take a lot out of him. A slow jab from Wolkowski misses its intended target. McCormick throws a body kick that misses. McCormick pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Nice sprawl there from McCormick as Wolkowski shoots in. Christopher McCormick seems to be getting the better of the standup. Wolkowski takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McCormick scores with a decent looking hook. McCormick leaves Wolkowski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McCormick takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolkowski tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. McCormick jabbing away but nothing is landing. McCormick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wolkowski. Wolkowski throws a poor cross that misses
and McCormick counters with a lovely straight right hand! Wolkowski throws a right and a left that McCormick avoids nicely. Wolkowski scores with a nice strike. McCormick tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wolkowski was well out of range. Poor timing from McCormick. Good standup being displayed there by McCormick as he connects with a hook. Wolkowski misses with a body kick. Wolkowski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCormick throws out the jab. McCormick keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McCormick lands a left and a right that send Wolkowski crashing to the mat, dazed. McCormick thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wolkowski is rocked!
It looks like Damian Wolkowski has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wolkowski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McCormick. Oh Wolkowski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wolkowski stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wolkowski seems to have got his legs back now. Wolkowski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McCormick on the side of the head. Wolkowski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolkowski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. McCormick avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wolkowski. Wolkowski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McCormick defending well though. McCormick is concentrating on defense, preventing Wolkowski from advancing position. Wolkowski trying to control from McCormick's half guard. McCormick has other ideas though and has regained full guard. McCormick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wolkowski manages to get himself to full guard.
McCormick is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. McCormick preventing the sweep. Wolkowski throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wolkowski trying to keep a closed guard but McCormick is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolkowski pulls McCormick in close to his closed guard and prevents McCormick from doing any damage or advancing position. Wolkowski can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McCormick controls the pace. Wolkowski wants to sweep here but McCormick controlling him for the moment. Wolkowski keeping moving, preventing McCormick from controlling successfully. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Wolkowski not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Damian Wolkowski. Wolkowski misses with a jab, cross combination.

Wolkowski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McCormick pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Wolkowski looks to land a left hand but McCormick moved out of range nicely. A big left from Wolkowski misses. Good exchange - Wolkowski coming out on top. McCormick scores with a nice right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McCormick throws a hook but Wolkowski avoids it easily. Wolkowski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McCormick.
McCormick misses the jab. Wolkowski swings widly with a right hand
letting McCormick counter with a right hand. Wolkowski works over McCormick's head and body with a nice combination. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sloppy strikes from McCormick. Those never looked like landing. Wolkowski fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McCormick slips a jab from Wolkowski. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christopher McCormick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Damian Wolkowski's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wolkowski fails with a takedown attempt. McCormick misses the jab. McCormick lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wolkowski, as that shot connected.
McCormick keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wolkowski darts in looking for a takedown but McCormick gets double underhooks and turns Wolkowski into the cage. McCormick manages to break the clinch.
McCormick throws out a loose jab but Wolkowski uses good head movement to avoid it. McCormick rushes Wolkowski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. McCormick swings away with an uppercut that misses.
McCormick scores with a shoulder strike. Wolkowski has McCormick pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McCormick manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damian Wolkowski. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCormick lands with a right to the head. Wolkowski takes a shot to the head. McCormick lands a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolkowski is working for takedown but McCormick is calmly controlling the position for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. McCormick scores with a hook to the body. McCormick lands with a left to the head. McCormick scores with a nice hook to the head. McCormick cracks Wolkowski with a nice body shot. A nice right hand lands inside from McCormick. Wolkowski's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! McCormick lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. McCormick throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wolkowskis head. Wolkowski is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McCormick is defending well. McCormick lands with a short shot to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McCormick lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Wolkowski to his knees! McCormick keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Our winner, Christopher McCormick, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
