Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penncil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dwayne Hopkins has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Dwayne Hopkins!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, BJ Penncil!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins moves out of range of the body kick.
Hopkins misses with a two punch combination.
Hopkins scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hopkins looks to land a combination but Penncil avoids it well.
Penncil takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Penncil scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Penncil wants to control but Hopkins is keeping him busy.

Hopkins lands with a nice combination. Penncil backs away looking to recover.

Penncil tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Penncil has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Penncil is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hopkins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Penncil has hold of Hopkins's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hopkins tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Penncil cranks the arm and Hopkins screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hopkins, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
