Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theo Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Babandiishe Chimutengwende (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Theo Contreras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Babandiishe Chimutengwende!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chimutengwende moves into the clinch.
Chimutengwende prevents Contreras from breaking the clinch.

Contreras has Chimutengwende pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Contreras pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Chimutengwende tumbling to the mat - Contreras dives into Chimutengwende's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Chimutengwende throws his legs up looking for a submission but Contreras uses it to pass to side control.
Chimutengwende is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Contreras's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Chimutengwende gets full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chimutengwende is on top in guard.
Contreras doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Contreras could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Contreras trying to keep a closed guard but Chimutengwende is proving a slippery customer.
Contreras wants to stand but Chimutengwende is controlling the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Contreras can't keep his opponent in guard - Chimutengwende advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Contreras wants to control but Chimutengwende is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Contreras is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Chimutengwende is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chimutengwende is looking for a kimura but Contreras is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chimutengwende to get the leverage.

Contreras is in trouble now - Chimutengwende has advanced to mount!

Chimutengwende sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Chimutengwende lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Contreras tries to lock up and control but Chimutengwende gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Chimutengwende throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Chimutengwende throws some wild stikes that Contreras manages to avoid easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chimutengwende sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Chimutengwende looking to control and managing it successfully.
Chimutengwende throws some wild stikes that Contreras manages to avoid easily.
Contreras knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chimutengwende on the ground.
Chimutengwende thowing shots but they're missing.
Chimutengwende tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Poor strikes thrown by Chimutengwende there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Let's hope that Chimutengwende has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Chimutengwende's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Babandiishe Chimutengwende wasn't active enough on the ground.
Contreras blocks a jab.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chimutengwende throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Contreras was covering up waiting for the punch and Chimutengwende finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chimutengwende controlling from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Babandiishe Chimutengwende dominated that round.

Chimutengwende takes the fight into the clinch.

Contreras manages to pull guard.
We've been informed that Chimutengwende has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Chimutengwende controls from within his opponent's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chimutengwende accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chimutengwende controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Contreras looking to control.
Babandiishe Chimutengwende has got the better of the ground game so far.
Contreras looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Chimutengwende slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Babandiishe Chimutengwende was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Chimutengwende closes the distance and clinches.
Contreras throws a knee to the head but misses.
A head punch on the inside from Contreras fails to land.

Chimutengwende gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Contreras trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Chimutengwende forces his way into half guard.
Chimutengwende prevents Contreras from standing back up.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Chimutengwende. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Contreras throws a strike from the bottom but Chimutengwende passes into side control!
Contreras misses with an elbow from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Chimutengwende has hold of Contreras's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Contreras tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Chimutengwende cranks the arm and Contreras screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Contreras, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Babandiishe Chimutengwende!
