Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hiram Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Mapanglait (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mapanglait comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dawn with the Sickness kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andres Mapanglait acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiram Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Mapanglait! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanson shoots in for a double leg but Mapanglait sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hanson circles away from the clinch attempt and Hanson counters with a nice uppercut. Mapanglait shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hanson but Hanson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hanson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hanson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mapanglait counters by moving into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Hanson as Mapanglait tries to tie him up. Mapanglait gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hanson regains guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hanson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hanson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mapanglait defends well. Mapanglait gets to his feet - Hanson follows without any prompting. Mapanglait fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hanson to the ground. Mapanglait is now in Hanson's guard. Mapanglait stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hanson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mapanglait is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mapanglait wants to pass the guard but Hanson is keeping the position. Hanson wants to control the position but Mapanglait says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Hanson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Mapanglait wants to stand up but Hanson is controlling the position.
Mapanglait seems to be looking for submissions.

and Hanson counters with a three punch combo that has Mapanglait backing up. Mapanglait nods at Hanson to acknowledge the strikes.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Hanson is trying to control Mapanglait's posture but Mapanglait avoids it. Mapanglait controlling from side mount. Mapanglait wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hanson, who protects the arm well.

Mapanglait shoots in for a takedown but Hanson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Hanson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mapanglait manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Hanson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hanson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mapanglait defends it well. Mapanglait manages to escape and get back to his feet! Hanson swats away the attempt to clinch by Mapanglait. Mapanglait closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Mapanglait pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Mapanglait is predictable there and Hanson counters with a two punch combo. Nice sprawl there from Mapanglait as Hanson shoots in. Hiram Hanson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mapanglait is defended easily by Hanson. Hiram Hanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andres Mapanglait. Mapanglait pushes Hanson up against the cage in a clinch. Hanson tries to pull guard but Mapanglait holds him up against the cage and eventually Hanson drops back down to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mapanglait decides to pull guard. Hanson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mapanglait is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andres Mapanglait showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mapanglait looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hanson is one step ahead there. Mapanglait stands up and waves to Hanson to follow him. Hanson shoots in for a takedown but Mapanglait shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mapanglait digs a good hook to Hanson's body.

Hiram Hanson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Andres Mapanglait is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Nice jab there from Mapanglait.
And that's the end of the fight! Andres Mapanglait comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mapanglait has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Andres Mapanglait! A very excited looking Andres Mapanglait rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
