The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irene is looking to clinch but Mabuva is avoiding it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Irene uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mabuva.
Mabuva clobbers Irene with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Goodnight Irene has been cut.
Mabuva throws out a loose jab but Irene uses good head movement to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Irene. Mabuva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mabuva thows a leg kick but Irene checks it
and Irene counters with a right hand to the body.
Mabuva throws a combination that misses
enabling Irene to counter with a crisp jab.
Irene tries to clinch up but Mabuva circles away and keeps his distance.
Irene works Mabuva's body with a nice hook.
Irene works the jab nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mabuva throws a body punch but Irene moves out of range.
Irene throws a jab when Mabuva was well out of range.
Irene looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Irene uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mabuva.
Irene stuns Mabuva with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Mabuva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Irene connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mabuva. Mabuva circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Irene closes the distance and clinches.
Mabuva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Irene lands an elbow inside that Mabuva shrugs off.
A short right from Irene on the inside.
Irene swings wildly with an uppercut but Mabuva uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mabuva manages to break the clinch.
Irene is looking to slow Mabuva down with leg kicks.
Irene connects with a right hand. Mabuva shakes it off.
Mabuva missing with a left hand there. Irene was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Irene takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mabuva pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Irene steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mabuva.
Irene moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mabuva swings widly with a right hand
and Irene counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mabuva thinking.
Mabuva tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Irene tests Mabuva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cedric Mabuva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Irene walks into a stiff left hand from Mabuva.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mabuva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mabuva is rocked!
and Irene counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Mabuva! He's just covering up as Irene starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Goodnight Irene gave a mention to Merciless Gladiators in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
