Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Arnulfo Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Flores! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flores fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Richard, pushing him back against the cage. Flores manages to break the clinch.
Flores misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck for Richard with that takedown attempt. Flores fails with a takedown attempt. Flores throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Nice uppercut there from Flores. Richard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Richard wants it to stay on the feet. Arnulfo Richard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Flores. Flores shoots in for a takedown but Richard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flores moves into range and clinches up with Richard. Flores breaks from the clinch.
Richard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Flores. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Flores. Flores tries to clinch up but Richard circles away and keeps his distance. Flores tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Richard manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Flores fails in his attempt to clinch. Richard tries for a takedown but Flores sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flores scores with a head kick. Richard tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Flores looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Nice sprawl there from Richard as Flores shoots in. Flores moves into the clinch. Flores gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Richard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Richard is trying to break free. Richard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Flores walks away with a smile on his face. Richard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Flores fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flores lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Flores shoots in for a double leg but Richard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Richard stuffs the takedown attempt from Flores. Flores gets slowly back to his feet. Flores looks winded! Flores gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Richard wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Flores successfully pulls guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flores looking to hit a scissor sweep but Richard is one step ahead there. Richard throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Flores bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Richard's guard. Flores tries to free his leg and advance position but Richard is retaining full guard. Flores wants to control from the top but Richard keeps moving. Flores gets to his feet. Richard looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Richard fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flores throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Richard's waist but Richard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flores off to one side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Flores dominated that round. The cut man is working on Arnulfo Richard's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Flores scores with a one two! Richard had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Flores tries to score a power double leg takedown but Richard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Flores somewhat. Flores shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Horrible takedown by Flores or perhaps it was just good defense by Richard which made him look bad. Arnulfo Richard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Flores. Flores tries to clinch and Richard counters with an inside leg kick. Flores misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Flores lands a nice looking body kick. Flores is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard keeps the fight on the outside. Richard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Richard darts in looking for a takedown but Flores gets double underhooks and turns Richard into the cage. Richard tries to break the clinch but Flores is controlling the position. Flores pulls guard successfully.
Richard throws a strike but Flores rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Flores stops Richard from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richard preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Richard trying to keep a closed guard but Flores is proving a slippery customer.
Flores is stalling in the full guard. Richard preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flores is looking to work some ground and pound but Richard has wrist control. Flores decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Richard, up you get! Richard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Richard wants it to stay on the feet. Flores tries to clinch up.

Flores tries to close the distance and clinch but Richard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Flores stuffs the takedown attempt from Richard. Richard gets slowly back to his feet. Flores looking to score a takedown here. Richard is defending well but Flores drives through and ends up in Richard's guard. Flores throws a big elbow that misses. Richard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flores is controlling him. Flores gets to his feet. Richard looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Richard walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flores cracks Richard with an open hand slap. Flores has Richard up against the cage in a clinch.
Richard tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Richard tries to pull guard but Flores won't allow it.
Richard is trying to drag Flores to the mat but Flores just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Flores gets a trip takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Flores showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Arnulfo Richard's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Flores tries to clinch but Richard is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flores has a takedown stuffed. Flores has closed the distance and engaged Richard in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flores jumps guard and drags Richard to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Richard with a nice head shot there. Flores throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Richard is looking to work some ground and pound but Flores has wrist control. Flores is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Flores takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Richard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Richard throws an elbow that misses. Flores uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Richard's guard. Nice move by Flores! Flores not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Flores pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Richard is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flores controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Flores passes easily into side control. Nice work. Flores works to advance to full mount. Richard defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Flores wants to control the pace but Richard is squirming around nicely. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Flores throws some wild stikes that Richard manages to avoid easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Flores there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Richard is trying desperately to improve position. Flores looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Flores takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Flores has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. BOOM! Flores connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Flores looking to ground and pound but Richard is blocking nicely. Flores has hold of Richard's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Richard manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Richard keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richard regains half guard. Richard looks like he's trying to stand up.
Flores looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Flores has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Arnulfo Richard has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Juan Flores is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Flores tries to pass to full mount but Richard defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! Juan Flores comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Flores has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
