Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between carlos boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazama has chosen 12 Stones - Adrenaline as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, carlos boom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jin Kazama! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! boom fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kazama tries to close the distance and clinch but boom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. boom looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. boom rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kazama moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kazama scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kazama decides to stand back up. Kazama looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. boom trying to control but Kazama postures up.
boom moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. boom controls Kazama momentarily but Kazama frees himself. boom looking for a sweep. Not yet boom, not yet. Kazama wants to control from the top but boom keeps moving. boom working for a triangle but Kazama defends it easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. boom doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kazama makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. A nice inside leg kick there by Kazama. That's going to slow boom down. Kazama dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on boom. That did some damage! Kazama pushes boom up against the cage in a clinch. Kazama comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. boom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kazama lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. boom lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Kazama gets the takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. boom is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kazama is controlling him well. Kazama trying to control the position but boom is working away. carlos boom has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jin Kazama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. boom manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kazama's best efforts.
And that's the end of the fight! Jin Kazama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kazama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
