Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Bonjasky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonjasky comes to the ring accompanied by -=Fried Day=-. Jackson has chosen Can't be Touched as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 19 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ernesto Bonjasky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson feints and as Bonjasky raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Bonjasky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson controlling from the top position. Bonjasky working a defensive guard but Jackson manages to pass into side control anyway.
Bonjasky dodges the ground and pound from Jackson. Jackson throws an elbow but Bonjasky slips to the side and avoids it well. Jackson cracks Bonjasky with a big elbow. Jackson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Check out the look on Jackson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Bonjasky is defending well. Jackson tries to score with some ground and pound. Bonjasky controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bonjasky is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Jackson lands some shots froms side control. Bonjasky is looking for a sweep. Bonjasky dodges the ground and pound from Jackson. Jackson is working to tighten his grip on Bonjasky's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bonjasky has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jackson is really squeezing tight and eventually Bonjasky passes out! Jackson breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Quinton Jackson! Quinton Jackson took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
