Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimy Falon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Woodward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimy Falon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Woodward! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Falon stuffs the takedown attempt from Woodward. Woodward gets slowly back to his feet. Woodward darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Falon is looking for a sweep. Woodward is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Woodward wants to free his trapped foot but Falon is holding on for dear life with his legs. Woodward wants to lay and pray for a moment but Falon keeps working. Falon wants to control but Woodward is keeping busy and won't allow it. Falon tries to roll over but Woodward keeps him under control. Woodward is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Woodward closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Woodward lands in his opponent's guard. Falon wants to sweep but no luck. Falon keeping full guard, as Woodward tries to pass. Woodward controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Woodward postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Falon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Woodward avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Falon misses with a leg kick. Falon thows a left - swing and a miss! Falon tries to clinch up. Falon moves in looking to clinch but Woodward pushes him off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Falon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Woodward paws at him with a jab and circles away. Woodward bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Falon tries to improve position but can't. Woodward wants to lay and pray for a moment but Falon keeps working. Falon is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Falon is breathing heavily. Woodward is working to tighten is grip on Falon's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Falon has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Woodward is really squeezing tight and eventually Falon passes out! Woodward breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
