Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hipolito Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Heimer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Heimer will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hipolito Spence!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Heimer!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heimer takes the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Spence's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Heimer has picked Spence up - he's going for a ride! Heimer dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Spence really is a fat lump.
Spence gets back to full guard.
Spence wants to stand and escape but Heimer is having none of it.
Heimer trying to control but Spence is working from the bottom.
Heimer passes Spence's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Spence is looking to control Heimer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Spence avoid being mounted?
Heimer prevents Spence from standing back up.
Still in half guard, Heimer seems content to control.
Spence is not content to let Heimer control the position.
Heimer not landing any meaningful shots this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Heimer prevents Spence from standing back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Heimer wants to pass the guard but Spence is defending well.
Spence is not content to let Heimer control the position.
Heimer wants to free his trapped foot but Spence is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Max Heimer wasn't active enough on the ground.

Spence closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Heimer gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Heimer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Spence has his hands clasped together around Heimer's back. He's all about the action.
Heimer stops Spence from getting back to his feet.
Heimer drops an elbow to the side of Spence's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Heimer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Heimer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spence's head.
Spence is not content to let Heimer control the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Spence looks like he's trying to stand up.
Spence keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Spence is trying to escape back to his feet but Heimer uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Heimer cracks Spence with a big elbow.
Heimer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spence parries the strikes from Heimer easily there. Heimer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Spence to escape.
Spence is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Heimer scores with punches from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee asks Heimer politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Heimer prefers to stall for the moment though.
Spence is trying to control Heimer's posture but Heimer avoids it.
Spence is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Heimer asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Spence is breathing heavily.
Heimer lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Spence down.
Spence is not content to let Heimer control the position.
Heimer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Spence haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Heimer working the ground and pound but Spence is defending the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spence wants to get back to his feet.
Heimer scores with a couple of short elbows.
Heimer trying to control the position but Spence is working away.
Heimer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Spence's shoulder. That is not cool.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Heimer grinds an elbow into Spence's temple.
Heimer trying to control the action but Spence is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big shot lands for Heimer! That's hurt Spence! Will he recover? Heimer fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Heimer!
