The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Daren Lopez has been cut.
Dawg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dawg will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Dawg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lopez, pushing him back against the cage.
Lopez looking to throw knees to the head but Dawg is blocking nicely.
Lopez fails to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Dawg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dawg moves in looking to clinch but Lopez pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A head kick by Dawg misses
and Lopez counters with a head kick. That will keep Dawg thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Dawg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lopez, pushing him back against the cage.
Lopez jumps guard but Dawg turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lopez manages to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lopez striking off his back but it's not causing Dawg any problems.
Lopez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dawg wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Lopez's closed guard. He's half up but Lopez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Lopez pivots and extends the arm, Dawg falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Lopez! Well done that man!
