The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Roman.
Mouse lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roman circles away quickly and effectively.

Mouse rushes Roman and presses him up against the cage.

Roman has hold of one of Mouse's legs. Mouse is fighting the takedown attempt but Roman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Roman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mouse tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mouse has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mouse wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Roman, who protects the arm well.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Mouse working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roman is trying to control Mouse's posture but Mouse avoids it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Roman rolls, trying to escape but Mouse keeps control of the position.

Mouse is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Roman knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Roman for a finish.

Mouse has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Roman has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Mouse is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Roman has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Mighty Mouse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Roman turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Roman manages to end up in side control.

Roman swings around for an armbar but Mouse sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Roman's guard.

Mouse wants to control from the top but Roman keeps moving.

Roman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mouse's guard.

Roman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Roman manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Mouse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Roman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Mouse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
