Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bayden Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Clawnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood comes to the cage accompanied by 1 hitta quitta 3 6 mafia. Clawnes has chosen My name is MUD as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bayden Wood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Clawnes!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clawnes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wood misses with a head kick.
Clawnes scores with a shot to the body.
Wood swats away the attempt to clinch by Clawnes.
Wood thows a body shot but no joy.
Wood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Clawnes.
Wood throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Clawnes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Clawnes stuffs the takedown attempt from Wood. Wood gets slowly back to his feet.
Wood's corner calls for a 1-2. Wood obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wood just misses with a punch to the body.
Wood throws a jab but it's blocked by Clawnes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wood slips a jab and a cross from Clawnes.
Clawnes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wood manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Clawnes tries to clinch but Wood moves out of range.
Wood tries to bum rush Clawnes with a series of wild strikes but Clawnes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Clawnes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Clawnes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Clawnes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Clawnes has managed to get both his arms back between Wood's legs - danger averted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wood tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wood has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wood is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Clawnes knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Clawnes looks to move to half guard but instead Wood has passed into mount! Damn!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wood on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Clawnes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Clawnes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wood manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wood throws a low kick but it's checked well by Clawnes.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bayden Wood will probably get the nod.

Wood throws a hook to the side of Clawnes's head but Clawnes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wood. Clawnes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wood keeps the fight on the outside.

Clawnes takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bayden Wood.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wood, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
