Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Taylor Castillo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcin Waligora! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castillo shoots in looking for a takedown. Waligora tries to sprawl out of it but Castillo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Waligora manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Castillo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Waligora counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Taylor Castillo has been cut. Castillo moves into the clinch. Knees in the clinch landing for Waligora.
Waligora breaks the clinch.
Waligora misses with a double jab.
Castillo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Waligora closes the distance and pushes Castillo back into the cage. Waligora keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Castillo's efforts to push away. Waligora pulls guard effortlessly. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Castillo preventing the sweep. Castillo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Castillo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waligora is pulling down on Castillo's head. It's preventing any offense from Castillo, at least for the moment. Castillo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Waligora bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Castillo's guard. Waligora with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Waligora accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Castillo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Waligora in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castillo pulls Waligora in close to his closed guard and prevents Waligora from doing any damage or advancing position. Waligora tries to free his leg and advance position but Castillo is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Waligora working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Castillo has control of Waligora's left arm, preventing Waligora from doing any damage. Waligora preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waligora being controlled here momentarily. Castillo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Castillo tries to get out of the position.
Taylor Castillo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Waligora lands a body shot in the clinch.
Castillo tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taylor Castillo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Castillo wants to get back to striking at distance but Waligora won't allow it.

Waligora jerks Castillo's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Castillo drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Waligora goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Waligora because Castillo was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
