Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patricio shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fist sprawls well. Fist wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Patricio gets slowly back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Fist. Those never looked like landing.

Patricio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fist wants to get up but he can't break Patricio's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Fist decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Patricio, up you get!
Fist stalks Patricio and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Patricio's face. Patricio staggers backwards, shaken.
Fist throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Patricio stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We've been hearing good reports from Fist's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Fist parries the strikes from Patricio easily there. Patricio is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fist to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patricio throws a strike aimed at the side of Fist's head but Fist avoids it well.
Patricio tries to move to mount but Fist blocks the move with his legs.
Fist is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Rui Patricio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
