The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Trent Boyette has been cut.
Johnson misses with the combination.
Damon Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyette throws a series of punches but Johnson avoids them all with ease.
Johnson misses with a straight left.
Jab by Johnson.
Johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boyette tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boyette tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Boyette counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnson is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Johnson misses with an uppercut.
Johnson lands a body shot.

Boyette wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.

Johnson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Boyette avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Boyette tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Johnson throws a shot to the body.
Boyette looks winded!

Boyette clinches.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boyette moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boyette on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Johnson cracks a nice hook into Boyette's ribs.
Boyette takes one to the side of the head.
Boyette takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Boyette is rocked!
Johnson lands a brutal uppercut that launches Boyette off his feet! Boyette tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
