Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Yulaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Leigertwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter Leigertwood is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dexter Leigertwood!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Yulaw. That's going to slow Leigertwood down.
Leigertwood tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yulaw sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leigertwood somewhat.
Yulaw throws a series of punches but Leigertwood moves out of range.
Yulaw lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Dexter Leigertwood has been cut.
The fighters circle momentarily. Yulaw darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Yulaw gets a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Yulaw's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Yulaw lands a nice uppercut.

Yulaw works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Yulaw tries to stand but Leigertwood is controlling from the bottom.

Yulaw avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Leigertwood is looking for a triangle but Yulaw pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Yulaw is looking to stand up but Leigertwood won't let him.

Leigertwood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yulaw doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yulaw manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Leigertwood is looking to cinch up a triangle. Yulaw throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Leigertwood's body to avoid the submission. Leigertwood has instead reached around Yulaw's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Leigertwood arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
