The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Erons pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Erons. No joy for Wells on that attempt.

Erons bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wells sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Erons decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Wells slips a jab and a cross from Erons.
Kevin Erons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Erons holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Erons shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Erons showed some decent athleticism there.

Wells is looking to control Erons's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wells avoid being mounted?
Wells is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Wells is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.

Wells is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Erons rolls with it to try and escape but Wells cranks on the arm and Erons is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
