Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kita Zen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Duplesris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kita Zen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Seth Duplesris's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kita Zen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seth Duplesris! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duplesris moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Kita Zen has been cut. Duplesris misses with a double jab
and Zen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zen just misses with a elbow thrown towards Duplesris's brow. Zen wants to break the clinch but can't.
Duplesris working hard to break the clinch. Zen crunches a lovely knee into Duplesris's ribcage. Duplesris on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Zen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Duplesris.
Zen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Duplesris. No luck for Zen with that takedown attempt. Duplesris throws a series of strikes that have Zen backpedaling.
Decent striking displayed by Duplesris there. Duplesris takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Seth Duplesris has been cut. Duplesris works Zen's body with a nice hook. Duplesris lands a jab-cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duplesris lands a nice looking body shot.
Zen lands a nice leg kick that just misses Duplesris's sensitive parts. Duplesris lands a right hook to the body.
Zen tries to close the distance and clinch but Duplesris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Zen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duplesris but Duplesris pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've been hearing reports that Zen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Duplesris swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Zen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Zen. Zen looks to throw an elbow but misses. Zen jumps guard and drags Duplesris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Zen wants to stand and escape but Duplesris is having none of it. Zen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Duplesris has passed into side control.
Duplesris trying to control the position but Zen is working away. Zen wants to get back to his feet but Duplesris is dominant here and he's now got Zen's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zen covers up after that shot from Duplesris.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zen can't escape the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duplesris has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Zen. Zen is trying to get back to his feet but Duplesris has full control of the position and if anything, Zen has just worked his way into a worse spot. Duplesris scores with punches to the body. Duplesris punches Zen on the ear. Duplesris is landing with strikes. Zen can't take much more of this. Duplesris is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Zen defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Duplesris is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Zen. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Zen is trapped and Duplesris is scoring with shots to the head and body. Zen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Zen trying to control the hands but Duplesris breaks the grip. Duplesris trying to control momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duplesris looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Duplesris has the hooks in. Zen is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Zen is trapped and Duplesris is scoring with shots to the head and body. Duplesris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zen looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Duplesris has his arm under Zen's chin here. Game over son! Duplesris squeezes tightly and Zen is forced to tap out!
