The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson connects with the punch.
It looks like Brock Barnett has been cut.
Karlsson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barnett to the mat! Barnett manages to get full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barnett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Karlsson is aware though and is defending well.

Karlsson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Barnett for as long as he can get away with.

Karlsson lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Barnett to his knees! Karlsson keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
