Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Young GSP (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GSP moves into range and clinches up with Johnson.

GSP lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
GSP misses with an attempted mid kick.

and GSP counters with a solid body kick.
GSP feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
GSP postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Johnson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst GSP is controlling him.

Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. GSP manages to get himself to full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now GSP is on top in guard.

GSP seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Johnson for as long as he can get away with.

and GSP counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that.
GSP decides to stand back up. GSP steps back and let's Johnson get back to his feet.
GSP cracks Johnson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Johnson gets off balance looking for a body kick
and GSP counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now.
GSP looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
GSP has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Johnson tries to roll over but GSP keeps him under control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. GSP connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple.

GSP takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Young GSP overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Johnson is refusing to be controlled, as GSP sits in half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
GSP is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Young GSP just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and GSP counters with a shoot takedown. Johnson fights it but they end up in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. GSP gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight!
Young GSP showed his dominance in that final round.
Well GSP has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
