Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namiska Button (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcello Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Namiska Button ! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Button throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Button fails with a takedown attempt. A jab lands there for Button . Button closes the distance and clinches. The referee is keeping an eye on Button - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Sanchez wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sanchez is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Button to keep the fight standing. Button turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Button manages to end up in side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Button goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sanchez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Button 's guard! Nice work there by Sanchez! Sanchez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Button throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez stands and throws Button 's legs to the side, diving into side control. Button is looking to regain half guard here but Sanchez keeps moving and retains side control. Button is not content to let Sanchez control the position. Sanchez advances to mount.

Sanchez controlling his opponent. Button is looking to get to half guard. Sanchez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanchez tries to control but Button wriggling away. Button tries to lock up and control but Sanchez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Button is looking to get to half guard. Sanchez controlling from the full mount. Button tries to buck Sanchez off but he can't manage it. Sanchez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Button is trying desperately to improve position. Button is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sanchez looking to control and managing it successfully. Button keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Button swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Button instigates a clinch. Sanchez manages to break the clinch.
We've been told by Sanchez's head coaches at SWF GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Button stuffs the takedown. Sanchez shoots in and drives through. Button sprawls well. Button 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sanchez under the eye. Button looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Button counters with a nice uppercut. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcello Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sanchez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sanchez looks to clinch and Button counters with a three punch combo that has Sanchez backing up. Sanchez nods at Button to acknowledge the strikes. Button scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanchez tries to bench press Button off him but Button keeps the position. Sanchez manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Sanchez tries to pass to full mount but Button defends it. Button felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez controlling the action here. Sanchez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Button for as long as he can get away with. Button is looking to improve his position.
Sanchez wants to control but Button is keeping him busy. Button looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Marcello Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sanchez content to control rather than advance.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Marcello Sanchez just wasn't active enough. Sanchez lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez throws a lazy right hand but Button sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Button clinches with his opponent.

Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but Button shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanchez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. Button lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sanchez fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Button throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sanchez. Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Button pushes him off. Button will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sanchez connects with a body shot that sends Button 's belly button to the back. Sanchez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Button fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sanchez manages to avoid it. Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Button pushes him off. Button feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sanchez holds on and takes a little breather. Button lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Button postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Button , into his guard. Button keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Button looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Sanchez passes into half guard.
Sanchez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Sanchez wants to control but Button is keeping him busy. Sanchez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We're going to have a standup here because Marcello Sanchez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Button throws a right and a left that Sanchez avoids nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Button circles away.

Button has a takedown stuffed. Button goes for a double leg but Sanchez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sanchez continues to drive forward. Button breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Button as he jumps to the side. A slow jab from Sanchez misses its intended target. Button stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet. Sanchez tries for a takedown but Button sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcello Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Button feints and as Sanchez raises his hands in defense, Button changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Button postures up in Sanchez's guard and throws a big left but Sanchez blocks it. Button looking to pass the guard.

Sanchez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sanchez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sanchez has his hands on Button 's head, controlling the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Button drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sanchez looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sanchez looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sanchez! Sanchez is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
