Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marshawn Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Murphy! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lynch is out of range. Lynch is looking to clinch. Murphy throws a looping overhand right but Lynch ducks down to avoid it. Lynch takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Murphy dips to his left and cracks Lynch with an uppercut! Murphy connects with a crisp jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lynch takes one to the side of the head.
Murphy lands with an uppercut that bounces Lynch off the cage and back into range. The fighters circling - Murphy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Murphy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. A jab from Murphy misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy throws the left hand but Lynch avoids the punch easily. Murphy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lynch.
Lynch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Murphy was well out of range. Poor timing from Lynch. Lynch throws a shot from downtown. Murphy moves away and avoids it. Murphy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lynch's head. Lynch missing with a left hand there. Murphy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Murphy has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Murphy throws a leg kick but Lynch moved away. Murphy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lynch cracks Murphy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
It looks like Peter Murphy has been cut. Murphy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murphy fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A big left from Murphy misses. Murphy throws a hook but Lynch avoids it easily. Murphy connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lynch's hands. Lynch swings away with a body shot that misses
and Murphy counters with a nice body shot. Lynch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Murphy manages to avoid it. Lynch is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Lynch throws the left hand but Murphy avoids the punch easily. Murphy jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lynch pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Murphy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Murphy is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lynch had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Lynch is breathing heavily. Lynch walks into a stiff left hand from Murphy. Lynch takes a body punch but keeps moving. Murphy looks for the body kick but Lynch saw that one coming. Murphy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Murphy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lynch. Jab, jab by Murphy - just one landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murphy scores with a decent looking hook. Lynch is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Murphy's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Lynch closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Murphy is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Lynch checks a low kick from Murphy. Lynch takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A jab from Lynch misses. The crowd cheers as Murphy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lynch doesn't seem phased though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Murphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Murphy lands with a shot to the body. Lynch avoids the head kick by Murphy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Murphy dominated that round. The cut man is working on Peter Murphy's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Murphy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lynch momentarily.
Murphy with a jab. Lynch walks into a straight right hand from Murphy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Murphy lands with a hook. Lynch tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Lynch lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Murphy cracks Lynch with a right hand to the side of the head. Murphy cracks Lynch with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Lynch looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Murphy finish him?
Murphy swings for the body but Lynch moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Lynch throws an off balance right hand
and Murphy counters with a straight right hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lynch gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Murphy lands a big right hand that sends Lynch crashing to the mat! Murphy stays standing though and waves Lynch back to his feet!
Lynch is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murphy fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Lynch to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Lynch looks to clinch but Murphy throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Lynch taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
