Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jarik Belson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keisuke Takasugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jarik Belson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keisuke Takasugi! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Belson misses the target. A combination from Belson does no damage. Takasugi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Takasugi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Takasugi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Belson. Belson loads up on a big right hand but Takasugi slips the punch. Belson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Takasugi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Belson misses with a hook. Takasugi misses with a few strikes there.
Takasugi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Takasugi throws a looping overhand right but Belson ducks down to avoid it. Takasugi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Belson swivels and escapes. Belson misses with a looping right. Belson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Belson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Belson throws a nice looking combination but Takasugi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Belson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Takasugi walks into a stiff left hand from Belson. Some wild striking there from Belson.

Takasugi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Belson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Takasugi somewhat. Nice sprawl there from Belson as Takasugi shoots in. Jarik Belson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keisuke Takasugi. Takasugi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Belson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Takasugi misses with a body kick. Takasugi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Belson lands a head shot. Takasugi throws the kick towards the body but Belson avoids it. Takasugi is trying desperately to land a takedown but Belson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Takasugi. That's four minutes gone in the round. Belson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Belson's corner calls for a 1-2. Belson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Takasugi. Takasugi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Belson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Belson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Belson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takasugi manages to avoid it. Belson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Belson throws a shot from downtown. Takasugi moves away and avoids it. Takasugi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Takasugi throws a series of punches but Belson moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sloppy strikes from Takasugi. Those never looked like landing. Belson avoids a kick to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Belson checks a leg kick nicely. Belson scores with a nice strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Belson is trying to maintain the position but Takasugi is very close to passing his half guard. Takasugi is trying to control. Belson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Takasugi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Takasugi wants to pass to mount but Belson is defending the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Belson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Belson throws a series of punches but Takasugi avoids them all with ease. Takasugi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Takasugi there as he acknowledges the shot. Takasugi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Belson manages to avoid it. Belson throws a hook but Takasugi blocks it. A big left from Belson misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Belson stuffs the takedown. A head kick misses from Takasugi. Belson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Takasugi on the side of the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Takasugi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Belson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Belson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Good standup being displayed there by Belson as he connects with a hook. Belson lands a nice looking body shot.

Takasugi eats them both and turns towards Belson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Belson cracks Takasugi with a good jab. Belson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Belson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Takasugi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Belson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Takasugi scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belson throws a right and a left that Takasugi avoids nicely. Takasugi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Belson manages to avoid it. Nice straight punches there by Belson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Belson. Belson missing with a left hand there. Takasugi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Takasugi is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. The fighters circling - Belson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Takasugi has a takedown stuffed. Takasugi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Belson circles away quickly and effectively. Belson avoids the head kick by Takasugi.
Takasugi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Belson lands with a hook. Takasugi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Takasugi misses with a body shot.

Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Can Belson finish him? Takasugi fails in his attempt to clinch. Belson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Belson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Takasugi on the side of the head. Belson lands a hook that stumbles Takasugi back into the cage. Belson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Takasugi to the canvas! Belson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Takasugi has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
