Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Ponjev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swanson has chosen Fight the power as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sam Ponjev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam Ponjev!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andrew Swanson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson motions for Ponjev to come forward. Swanson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Swanson darts in looking for a takedown but Ponjev gets double underhooks and turns Swanson into the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ponjev - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ponjev tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Swanson avoids it.

Ponjev has hold of one of Swanson's legs. Swanson is fighting the takedown attempt but Ponjev gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Ponjev has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Swanson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ponjev!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swanson rushes Ponjev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ponjev is trying to drag Swanson to the mat but Swanson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Ponjev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swanson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ponjev has managed to get both his arms back between Swanson's legs - danger averted.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ponjev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A victorious Sam Ponjev thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
Andrew Swanson was interviewed post fight and said 'Fuck that. I hate losing more then anything in this world. Fuck Fuck Fuck!!!!'.
