Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Courtney Fleming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ham Cotter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Courtney Fleming! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ham Cotter! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fleming is looking to clinch but Cotter is avoiding it.
Fleming fails with a takedown attempt. Fleming tries to clinch there but Cotter circles away.
Fleming fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cotter avoids it really well and circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Fleming lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cotter backwards. Cotter blocks an uppercut.
Cotter tries to score a body lock takedown but Fleming shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fleming misses with a punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cotter drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Fleming gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cotter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Cotter manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cotter looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Cotter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cotter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cotter tries for an arm triangle. Cotter lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fleming down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fleming is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cotter has just dragged him back down to the mat. Cotter tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cotter landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fleming is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cotter is controlling him well. Cotter has an Americana. Fleming didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Cotter is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Cotter hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ham Cotter!
