Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolas Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeca Ralho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Big booty bitches. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nicolas Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zeca Ralho! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ralho shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ralho shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ralho gets slowly back to his feet. Smith will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ralho leaves Smith with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ralho staying out of range there. Ralho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Ralho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nicolas Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeca Ralho. Smith shoots in for a takedown but Ralho shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ralho slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ralho shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ralho gets slowly back to his feet. Smith throws a hook but Ralho avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ralho forces Smith back against the cage and clinches. Ralho manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ralho keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Smith is pushing down on Ralho's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ralho is fighting to maintain full guard but Smith has managed to sneak the leg through. Ralho wants to improve his position but Smith is controlling well.
Ralho won't allow Smith to pass to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ralho has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though. Ralho is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard. Smith is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ralho is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ralho does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We're going to have a standup here because Nicolas Smith wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ralho keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ralho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Ralho, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Ralho against the cage but Ralho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ralho is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Ralho circles away and we're back to standing. Smith is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ralho stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ralho wants it to stay on the feet. Ralho clinches. Ralho jumps guard.
Ralho wants to stand but Smith is controlling the position. Ralho keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Smith wants to pass the guard but Ralho is keeping the position. Smith is working hard here to advance position. Ralho seems keen to control Smith's posture. Ralho wants to hit a switch here but Smith passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ralho there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith looking to control but Ralho is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Ralho wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away. Smith controlling the pace for now. Ralho is looking to get to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Ralho turns into him and now he's in Smith's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Nicolas Smith will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nicolas Smith's cut. That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smith throws a body kick that misses. Smith throws a shot from downtown. Ralho moves away and avoids it. Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ralho fails with a takedown attempt. Smith shoots in for a takedown but Ralho shows good takedown defense. Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Ralho on that attempt. Ralho shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ralho gets slowly back to his feet. Nicolas Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeca Ralho. Smith shoots in for a double leg but Ralho sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith moves out of range of the leg kick from Ralho. Smith throws a series of punches but Ralho avoids them all with ease. Ralho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ralho sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ralho fails to land the takedown. Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Ralho or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad. Ralho closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Ralho pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smith is defended easily by Ralho. Ralho is looking to clinch. Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ralho defends it nicely. Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ralho swivels and escapes. Ralho has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Ralho fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ralho ducks under a wild hook from Smith. Ralho shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ralho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Smith shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Smith was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ralho's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ralho prevents Smith from improving position. Ralho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ralho keeps working. Smith is really struggling to control Ralho but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Smith has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ralho is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Smith yanks on the arm and Ralho is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Smith.
