Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamotta has chosen Survivor - Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Frank Sinatra had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 18 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Lamotta! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamotta throws a hook to the side of Sinatra's head but Sinatra sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sinatra has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Lamotta is looking to score with low kicks. Sinatra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lamotta circles away. Lamotta takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Lamotta avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A nice leg kick lands there from Lamotta. Sinatra scores with a punch to the head. Sinatra takes a swing at Lamotta's ribcage but misses. Decent striking displayed by Sinatra there. Sinatra fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lamotta sprawls well initially but Sinatra persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sinatra prevents Lamotta from standing back up.
Sinatra throwing shots but Lamotta is blocking nicely. Lamotta trying to get back to full guard but Sinatra takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Sinatra lands a couple of good shots and Lamotta has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Sinatra missing with strikes. Sinatra is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lamotta is defending well though. Sinatra let's go of the attempt for now. Lamotta fending off the submission attempt from Sinatra. Sinatra is punishing Lamotta with strikes - can he finish him?! Sinatra not allowing Lamotta to control his hands. Lamotta defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sinatra's arms. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sinatra misses with a punch to the head. Lamotta showing good submission defense here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sinatra scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Sinatra throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Sinatra trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Lamotta is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Lamotta's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Sinatra looking for the RNC. Sinatra is working the ground and pound. Can Lamotta escape? Lamotta is trying to get back to his feet but Sinatra has full control of the position and if anything, Lamotta has just worked his way into a worse spot. Sinatra is looking for the choke from the back position but Lamotta is controlling his hands well.

Sinatra throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Lamotta wants to control his opponent's hands but Sinatra gets his hands free. Sinatra is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Lamotta tries to break free.
Sinatra misses with a punch to the head. Sinatra is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Lamotta taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Sinatra.
