Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mills Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ovreem Wahlburg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mills Howard had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Howard. No joy for Wahlburg on that attempt.
Howard missing with a left hand there. Wahlburg was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Howard scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Howard shoots in and drives through. Wahlburg sprawls well.

Wahlburg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Howard, pushing him back against the cage.

Wahlburg's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Howard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wahlburg sprawls well. Wahlburg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Howard gets slowly back to his feet.
Wahlburg throws a head kick that half lands.
Wahlburg connects with an inside leg kick.
Ovreem Wahlburg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Howard looks to land a combination. Wahlburg sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Ovreem Wahlburg has been cut.

Wahlburg gets a clinch.

Wahlburg ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wahlburg no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wahlburg is adopting a defensive guard.

Wahlburg is looking for a triangle but Howard pushes his legs off easily.

Wahlburg is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wahlburg is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Howard has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Wahlburg has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Howard taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Wahlburg doesn't care though - he's delighted!
