Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harold Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ice Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shadow on the Sun. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harold Buck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ice Man!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Harold Buck has been cut.
Man fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Buck looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Buck throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Man tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Buck is in Man's guard.
Man wants to sweep but no luck.
Buck tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.

Buck drops back, looking for a kneebar! Man looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Man looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Man!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man trying to control the position but Buck is working away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Man happy to just control the position for now.
Man tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Buck is trying to control Man's posture but Man avoids it.
Man content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ice Man was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Buck throws a big shot that misses.
Buck takes a swing at Man's ribcage but misses.
Harold Buck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slow jab from Buck misses its intended target.
Buck uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Man.

Buck scores with a hook.


It looks like Ice Man has been cut.
Man ducks under a wild hook from Buck.
Buck avoids a punch combination nicely.
Buck tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Buck lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A jab from Man misses.
Buck is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Man.
Man goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Man thuds his right hand into Buck's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Man stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Man wants it to stay on the feet.
Man blocks a jab.
Man lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
No joy there for Man, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Man sizes up Buck with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Man looks to score with a jab to the body but Buck is just out of range.
Buck scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Man avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Buck on the wrong end of a nice hook.


Harold Buck's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Buck misses the shot to the body.

Man leaves Buck with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ice Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Man takes a swing at Buck's ribcage but misses.
Buck has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Buck there as he acknowledges the shot.
Man fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Man takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Buck throws a jab when Man was well out of range.
Buck lands with a straight right. Man didn't see that one coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ice Man will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Buck throws a jab but it's blocked by Man.

Man tries to sprawl but Buck drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Man wants to get back to full guard.
Man wants to control but Buck is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Buck is looking for a kimura here.

Buck is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Man is looking to improve his position.

Buck is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Buck is trying to work for a kimura but Man is defending well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Man manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Man controls Buck momentarily but Buck frees himself.
Buck tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.

Buck has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Man is proving hard to escape from.
Buck trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Buck is pushing down on Man's leg trying to pass to half guard. Man is fighting to maintain full guard but Buck has managed to sneak the leg through.

Buck is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Man sees it coming and defends easily.
Man keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Man makes his way to full guard, as Buck worked for a kimura.
Man wants to sweep but no luck.

Man pulls Buck in to control the position.
Buck tries to free his leg and advance position but Man is retaining full guard.
Man working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Buck.
Buck trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Man pulls Buck in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Harold Buck wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Man keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Man is trying to stand up here but Buck is controlling him well.
Buck looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Man with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Buck thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Man wants to control but Buck is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Man is looking for a sweep. Buck is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Man slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Buck has gone for a leg lock! Man slips out almost immediately though and dives into Buck's guard.
Buck not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Buck looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Buck escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Man gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Buck throws his legs up looking for a submission but Man uses it to pass to side control.

Buck is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Man decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Danga de danga de dang - Man scores with a four punch combination!
Man fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ice Man is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Buck scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jab by Buck.
Man pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Man takes a swing at Buck's ribcage but misses.
Buck rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Man counters with a three punch combo that has Buck backing up. Buck nods at Man to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ice Man seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Man takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Man scores with a hook.
Man lands with a cross.
Man misses with a hook. Buck ducked under it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Buck misses with a wild combination.
Man takes a shot to the body in his stride.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ice Man.
I think Man has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
