Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricky Raider! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tim Horton! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horton drives through with a takedown into guard. Raider is trying to keep Horton in close.
Horton wants to stand but Raider has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Raider has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Horton can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Raider is working an open guard so Horton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Raider avoids the head kick by Horton.
Raider tries for a takedown but Horton circles away easily letting Horton counter with a right hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Raider can't escape the position.
Horton lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. Horton wants to pass the guard but Raider is defending well. Horton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Raider. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Horton content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Raider wants to improve his position but Horton is controlling well.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Horton lands a nice short elbow. Horton is keen to just control but Raider is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Raider wants to get back to full guard. Horton thows a huge punch but Raider dodges it nicely.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Raider gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Horton counters with a low kick, right behind Raider 's knee. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Raider. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horton has Raider up against the cage in a clinch.

Horton goes for a takedown attempt but Raider pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Horton throws a head kick that misses. Horton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Raider swats him away and circles back towards the center. Raider with a lazy takedown attempt and Horton counters with a series of strikes. Raider will be more careful next time no doubt. Horton drives through with a takedown into guard. Horton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Horton tries to free his leg and advance position but Raider is retaining full guard.

Raider being controlled here, momentarily. Horton trying to control but Raider is working from the bottom. Raider looking to hit a scissor sweep but Horton is one step ahead there. Raider working for a triangle but Horton defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Raider is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Horton gets to his feet. Raider looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Horton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Raider tries to roll over but Horton keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raider has his takedown stuffed and Horton counters with a left and a right that stings Raider. Raider gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Horton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Horton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Raider looking to hit a scissor sweep but Horton is one step ahead there. Raider preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Horton wants to stand but Raider has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Tim Horton has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Horton wants to control from the top but Raider keeps moving. Horton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Raider's guard.

Horton throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Raider's body to avoid the submission. Raider has instead reached around Horton's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Raider arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
