Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pernell McPhee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pereira comes to the cage accompanied by Method Man ft Redman - Da Rockwilder. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pernell McPhee! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pereira looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McPhee takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Pereira blocks a jab. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Good exchange - McPhee coming out on top. McPhee stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pereira. Pereira thows a body kick. McPhee tries to catch it but that hurt him. McPhee dodges the punch combination from Pereira.
Pereira looks to land a combination but McPhee avoids it well. A punch combination from McPhee misses. McPhee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pereira manages to avoid it. McPhee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw McPhee working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pereira wants to sweep but no luck. Pereira working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McPhee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McPhee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pereira with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McPhee to score with a decent uppercut. A left lands for McPhee.
