Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ruphus Duphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Perosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perosh has chosen Danny Brown - Grown Up as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruphus Duphus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Perosh!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duphus throws a low kick but Perosh moves out of range easily.
Perosh comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Some wild striking there from Perosh.
Duphus shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Perosh misses with a body shot.
Duphus throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ruphus Duphus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perosh fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Duphus fails with a takedown attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Duphus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Perosh slips a straight right by Duphus.

Perosh has closed the distance and engaged Duphus in a clinch.
Duphus has a couple of punches blocked by Perosh.
Perosh doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Perosh on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Duphus taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Duphus tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Perosh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.


It looks like Ruphus Duphus has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duphus stalling the fight.
Perosh tries to break free but Duphus pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A body shot lands from Perosh.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Duphus.
Perosh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Duphuss head.

Duphus is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Perosh can't fight it off and eventually Duphus manages to take the fight to the floor. Perosh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Duphus trying to control but Perosh is working from the bottom.
Perosh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Duphus is controlling him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duphus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perosh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Duphus is working hard here to advance position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Duphus swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Perosh counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Perosh swinging wildly here.
Perosh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Duphus moves away.
Duphus attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Duphus just misses with a punch to the body.
Perosh lands with an overhand left.

Duphus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Duphus wants to take a breather but Perosh is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Duphus is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Perosh doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Duphus.
Duphus is looking to take a break and control but Perosh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Perosh is in trouble now - Duphus has advanced to mount!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Perosh trying desperately to get to his feet.
Perosh wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Duphus.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Duphus working the ground and pound effectively.
Duphus landing shots from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Poor strikes thrown by Duphus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Duphus can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Perosh is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruphus Duphus dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ruphus Duphus's cut.
That's time! Duphus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Duphus swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Perosh counters with a left to the body.
Duphus moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Duphus is looking to clinch.
Duphus drops his hands momentarily and Perosh takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Duphus steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Perosh.
Duphus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Perosh as he jumps to the side.
Perosh looks to score with a jab to the body but Duphus is just out of range.
Perosh lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perosh lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Perosh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Duphus.
Perosh tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Duphus takes a swing at Perosh's ribcage but misses.
Perosh throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Duphus on the side of the head.


Ruphus Duphus's cut is getting worse.
Perosh avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Duphus misses with a straight left.
Perosh works Duphus's body with a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Perosh lands a left and a right that send Duphus crashing to the mat, dazed. Perosh thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Duphus is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Perosh throws a series of punches but Duphus avoids them all with ease.
Oh Duphus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Perosh loads up on a big right hand but Duphus slips the punch.
Duphus seems to have got his legs back now.

Perosh feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Duphus sprawling to the canvas! Duphus rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Perosh finish him?!


Ruphus Duphus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Perosh drops Duphus with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Duphus looks back up at him and smiles so Perosh waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Perosh ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A punch lands to the side of Duphus 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Duphus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Perosh slaps away a takedown attempt from Duphus, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Perosh lands an overhand right.


Jeez, Ruphus Duphus's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Duphus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ruphus Duphus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jeremy Perosh!
After the fight, Jeremy Perosh was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
