Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theo Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bear Winter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Theo Contreras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bear Winter!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winter cracks Contreras with a good jab.

Winter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Contreras looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Winter taking a breather here.
Contreras tries to buck Winter off but Winter is having none of it.
Contreras is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Winter stands up.

Winter moves into the clinch successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Winter works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Contreras is trying to keep Winter in close.
Contreras can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Winter controls the pace.
Winter postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Winter's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Contreras really is a fat lump.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Theo Contreras just wasn't active enough.

Winter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Contreras was covering up waiting for the punch and Winter finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Contreras is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Winter controls from within his opponent's guard.

Contreras is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Winter working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Winter wants to stand but Contreras has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Winter stands up from guard. Let's bang!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Winter throws a head kick that misses.

Contreras gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Winter to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Winter is looking to stand up but Contreras won't let him.
Contreras knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Winter on the ground.
Winter is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Winter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Winter's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Winter won't allow Contreras to sweep him here.
Winter wants to stand but Contreras has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Winter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Winter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Contreras swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bear Winter was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Winter darts in and clinches Contreras up against the cage.
Contreras goes for a takedown attempt but Winter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Winter gets in close and instigates a clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Contreras is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bear Winter dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Contreras throws a head kick that misses.

Winter clinches with his opponent.

Winter breaks from the clinch.

Winter takes the fight into the clinch.
Contreras tries to pull guard but Winter won't allow it.
Contreras wants a takedown but no success here.

Winter manages to pull guard.
Winter trying to control the position here.
Bear Winter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Contreras working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Winter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Winter is pulling down on Contreras's head to control his posture.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bear Winter wasn't active enough on the ground.

Winter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Winter tries to stand and escape but Contreras is controlling the position.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Winter. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Winter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Winter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Contreras is just riding it out for now. Winter eventually gives up the hold.

Winter lands strikes from half guard.
Winter trying to control the pace.
Let's hope that Winter has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Winter seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Winter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Contreras tries to get to full guard but Winter has control of the leg.
Winter not doing much here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Contreras has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Winter is working away from the top position though.
Winter is taking a breather. Contreras says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Winter tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Contreras.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bear Winter has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Winter looking to score a takedown here. Contreras is defending well but Winter drives through and ends up in Contreras's guard.
Winter controlling from the top position.
Winter's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bear Winter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Winter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Winter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Contreras to the mat! Contreras manages to get full guard.

Winter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Winter is looking to stand up but Contreras won't let him.
Contreras wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Winter is now in half guard.
Winter seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Contreras might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Winter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Contreras is trying hard to land a takedown here. Winter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Contreras shoots for a takedown but Winter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Winter darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Winter is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Contreras makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Contreras.
Winter works a leg free and moves into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winter frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Winter wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Winter prevents Contreras from getting the reversal.
Contreras flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Winter content just to control the position here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Winter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Winter looking to control and managing it successfully.

Winter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Contreras has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Winter punishing his opponent with strikes.
Theo Contreras has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bear Winter is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Winter jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Contreras manages to avoid the submission attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bear Winter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Winter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
