Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jude Driscoll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jude Driscoll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jose Aldo! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo misses with a body kick. Driscoll lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Aldo backs up against the cage.
Driscoll closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Driscoll in particular looking to stall. Driscoll moves into full mount! Aldo won't be happy about that! Driscoll stands up from mount. Strange move. Driscoll scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Driscoll is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Driscoll is working for a submission of some sort.
Driscoll stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aldo wants to clinch but Driscoll slips to the side and Driscoll counters by moving into the clinch. Aldo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Driscoll has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Aldo is trying to keep an underhook but Driscoll manages to get the takedown into half guard. Driscoll escapes and gets back to his feet. Driscoll tries for a takedown but Aldo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Aldo has Driscoll up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Driscoll blocks an elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Driscoll breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Aldo blocks a head kick by Driscoll.

Driscoll gets tackled into the cage by Aldo. Aldo maintains the clinch. Aldo is trying to push Driscoll away but Driscoll has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Driscoll lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Aldo with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Aldo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Driscoll blocks it with crossed arms. Driscoll blocks a body shot from Aldo. Aldo throws a knee to the head but misses.
Aldo taking a breather. Driscoll keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Aldo's efforts to push away. Aldo goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aldo landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Aldo is trying to force a seperation but Driscoll has the dominant position. Driscoll fails to pull guard.
Driscoll breaks from the clinch.
Driscoll blocks the body kick.
Jose Aldo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Driscoll darts in and clinches Aldo up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aldo stops a takedown attempt from Driscoll.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jude Driscoll. That's going to take a lot out of him. Driscoll gets control of Aldo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Driscoll will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Driscoll seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Aldo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Driscoll swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jude Driscoll dominated that round. That's time! Driscoll's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Driscoll has a takedown stuffed. Aldo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aldo wants to clinch but Driscoll slips to the side and Driscoll counters with a leg kick. Aldo misses with the combination.
Aldo tries to clinch but Driscoll moves out of range. Driscoll takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A head kick misses from Driscoll. Aldo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Driscoll's head. Aldo tries to clinch up and Driscoll counters with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Driscoll gets a double leg takedown into Aldo's guard. Driscoll might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Aldo being controlled here, momentarily. Aldo trying to keep a closed guard but Driscoll is proving a slippery customer.
Jude Driscoll has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Aldo looks to clinch and Driscoll counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aldo's guard now. Driscoll controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Driscoll decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Aldo, up you get! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Decent striking displayed by Aldo there. Driscoll dodges the punch combination from Aldo.
The fight stays on the outside here - Aldo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Driscoll closes the distance and clinches up with Aldo, looking for a takedown. Driscoll pushes Aldo against the cage but Aldo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo throws a series of punches but Driscoll avoids them all with ease. Driscoll decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Driscoll wants to pass the guard but Aldo is defending well. Aldo is breathing heavily. Driscoll content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Driscoll is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Aldo!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Driscoll avoids the attempt from Aldo to control. Driscoll sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Driscoll working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Aldo looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Driscoll! Submission of the night perhaps?
