Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dreadlock Rasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasta's entrance music is Buffalo Soldier. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dreadlock Rasta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson has managed to clinch.
Wilson lands a nice elbow.
Wilson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rasta's face.
Wilson takes a shot to the head.
Rasta wants to break the clinch but can't.

Wilson breaks the clinch.
Wilson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Rasta tries to clinch there but Wilson circles away.

Rasta moves into the clinch successfully.
Rasta tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wilson is trying to stall.
Wilson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rasta tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wilson smiles and moves away.
Wilson closes the distance but Rasta moves to the side

and Rasta counters with a shoot takedown. Wilson fights it but they end up in guard.


Wilson is rocked!
Rasta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Rasta gets to his feet. Wilson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

so Rasta counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wilson looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Wilson is working an open guard so Rasta takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Rasta closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rasta is trying to work for a kimura but Wilson is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rasta is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rasta postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wilson to stand up.
Rasta fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dreadlock Rasta. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Rasta counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rasta is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Rasta gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Rasta shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rasta was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wilson is desperately trying to improve his position but Rasta has a good base and remains in mount.
Wilson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Rasta stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Rasta tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wilson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wilson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rasta but Rasta pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wilson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wilson has his takedown stuffed

and Rasta decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wilson's guard.
Rasta tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilson is retaining full guard.
Wilson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rasta is one step ahead there.
Wilson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rasta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wilson wants to hit a switch here but Rasta passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Wilson there!
Wilson tries to lock up and control but Rasta gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rasta is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Wilson is looking to clinch.

Rasta closes the distance and clinches.

Wilson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wilson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rasta tries to clinch up but Wilson circles away and keeps his distance.
Rasta closes the distance but Wilson moves to the side

and Wilson counters by moving into the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wilson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Wilson lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rasta backwards.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dreadlock Rasta dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Wilson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Rasta misses with the head strike.
Rasta takes an elbow to the temple.
Rasta stalling in the clinch but Wilson improves position.
Wilson prevents Rasta from breaking the clinch.

Wilson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wilson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Wilson looking for a guillotine here but Rasta defends easily.
Wilson is looking to stand back up but Rasta counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wilson.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rasta trying to control the action but Wilson is working from the bottom.

Rasta decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Rasta wants to clinch but Wilson slips to the side
and Wilson counters with a left and a right that stings Rasta.

Rasta scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Rasta postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wilson to stand up.
Left hook, right uppercut from Wilson.
Rasta tries to clinch up.

Wilson clinches.
Rasta using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wilson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Wilson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Dreadlock Rasta overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wilson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Rasta tries to roll over but Wilson keeps him under control.
Wilson stops Rasta from getting back to his feet.
Rasta gets back to full guard.

Wilson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wilson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Wilson as Rasta shoots in.

and Wilson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Wilson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Rasta jumps guard but Wilson stands there with Rasta around his waist. Rasta gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rasta throws a head punch that misses.

Wilson breaks from the clinch.
Wilson is looking to slow Rasta down with leg kicks.
Rasta wants to clinch
and Wilson counters with a big head kick but Rasta shrugs it off.
Rasta wants to clinch but Wilson slips to the side

and Wilson counters by clinching up.
Rasta tries for a takedown but Wilson manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dreadlock Rasta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wilson can't get the takedown.
Wilson is working for takedown but Rasta is calmly controlling the position for now.
Wilson avoids the elbow strike from Rasta, against the cage.

Wilson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rasta prevents it.

Wilson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rasta can't fight it off and eventually Wilson manages to take the fight to the floor. Rasta looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rasta has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

Rasta lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wilson!
Wilson is trying to stand.

Rasta stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wilson swats away the attempt to clinch by Rasta.
Wilson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rasta but Rasta pushes him off and we're back to square one.

James Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rasta's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Rasta gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wilson regains guard.
Wilson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rasta is controlling him.
Wilson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Rasta is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Rasta is trying to escape the mount.
Rasta is squirming around, avoiding Wilson's attempts to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Wilson content just to control the position here.
Wilson prevents Rasta from getting the reversal.
Rasta is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wilson controlling from mount.

Rasta tries to hold on but Wilson postures up.
Rasta is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rasta is working hard here to advance position.
Wilson tries to control but Rasta wriggling away.
Rasta is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Wilson trying to control but Rasta is having none of it.
Wilson scoring with strikes but Rasta is staying in there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dreadlock Rasta showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Rasta has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
